RELIEF...Well...for now

SO! We can breath a sigh of relief, but only for a second. We didn't want to move out of our ward. We love our ward and finally felt like we were getting settled; someplace we could be for a while. The night we found out we had to move ASAP we called our Bishop to see if maybe he knew of a place that we could move that would still be in our ward boundaries.. And SUCCESS! There is an older lady just a few blocks from us that is moving out to live with her kids and called our Bishop just the night before to tell him she was moving and if anyone needed a place to rent to give her a call. We kinda brushed if off at first because we wanted a 3 BR place not a 2 BR, and we kept looking. However, Mike kept feeling we should call on it, I think it will be good for us, so we did. AND I AM SO GLAD! It is like the cutest little place EVER! It has a patio area where it gives the dogs plenty of space to run around. It is SO much nicer than the place we have now PLUS its CHEAPER! How much better does it get? But, there is a little catch... the place we are living in now is being auctioned off on the 29th and this poor little lady doesn't think she can be out of there by then and will need a little extra time which we are fine with. Only thing is, we are going to have to store all our stuff in a storage unit for a couple weeks which basically means we get to move it twice which totally sucks and stresses me out a little but it will be alright. I feel very blessed that we found a great place right in our same area and still be in our wonderful ward...I just can't help but feel that the Lord works is mysterious ways and always provides a way to help us, even when we think there is no hope at all!

As soon as I can I will post pictures of it because I LOVE it and can not wait to move in!

If you can believe that!!

SOOO....I was having a good day today, lost another 1.5 pounds, creating a blog and doing some laundry watching myself a few movies while Mike was at work.. a typical day off for me right? OH SO WRONG! I went to the kitchen to make my self some lunch around 1 o clock and what do notice if not a postal note sticking in my front door telling me I have a certified letter awaiting my arrival to pick up from the post office. I think to myself "what could this be, I best go get it and find out. It might be important..." and in fact it WAS. I open the front door to leave and I find notices ALL over my door saying that the property is going into foreclosure and will auctioned off the 29th of THIS MONTH!!?!?! We are totally happy living here, we love our ward, Cody and Marco just moved a few streets away from us, life was good! What happened? Our landlords said NOTHING about this and when we talked to them this afternoon she said it had only been a few months of not paying the mortgage. Well I'm sorry to say that you have to be at least 6 months behind before they put your property up for auction.. And what is even better is that they went to Disneyland a few months ago, so I am REALLY glad we were able to pay for their nice little vacation..... Iso all afternoon and this evening we have been searching for a new place to live...IF YOU CAN BELIEVE THAT!

Why I heart tanning....

I know, I know.. I am going to get a lot of flack for this post, but tanning is just a little piece of paradise in a 15 minute box. It has been SO COLD here the past few months and tanning for 15 minutes just makes things SO MUCH better!! You just feel like a million bucks after word, ESPECIALLY when you are having a bad day! Most of the tanning salons around where I live will give you a free week free, so I would check out the salons around YOU! I strongly suggest a good tanning session every now and again!

Friend's move to town!!

So, as you know Mike and I have lived in Las Vegas going on 2 years now and we just LOVE it! It's sunny and warm almost the whole year through and even when it's cold it's usually sunny. Can't go wrong there. :) There are always fun things to do even if you don't have a lot of money and there is even more to do when you DO have money! Fantastic shopping and all different kinds of great restaurants. And one of the best aspects .... only a 3 hour drive to Disneyland! But what is better than having some of your best friends move to town?? NOTHING! Marco and Cody are very good friends of ours. I knew them both back when I was going to cosmetology school in Utah, and in fact introduced them to each other. Well, they came to stay with us over Christmas break because Marco had an interview at a TV station out here in Vegas. I got a call about a month later telling me Marco got the job as a reporter and they were going to move here the end of February! I found them an apartment close to Mike and I of course and it's been so much fun having them here and hanging out and showing them around town! YAY! It will be really nice having a married couple that we know to hang out with! This summer is going to be fantastic!

New Blog!!!

it's official, I have finally started a blog for Mike and I. I thought it was about time seeing as how pretty much everyone else I know has started one! I can't promise it will be very exciting but I will see what I can do!
